Function documentationEntry of Search Criteria for Reports

In Customizing for Product Safety under Specify Report Applications, you have defined the report applications for whose objects you want to search. As standard, the report applications Specification Master and Material Master are provided.

You have selected one of the following paths in the product safety menu:

  • Start of the navigation path Reports Next navigation step Report Information System End of the navigation path

  • Start of the navigation path Reports Next navigation step Report Management Next navigation step Edit Reports End of the navigation path

  • Start of the navigation path Reports Next navigation step Report Management Next navigation step Validate Reports End of the navigation path

  • Start of the navigation path Reports Next navigation step Report Management Next navigation step Release Reports End of the navigation path

  • Start of the navigation path Reports Next navigation step Report Management Next navigation step Assign Report Versions End of the navigation path

  • Start of the navigation path Reports Next navigation step Report Management Next navigation step Set Reports to Historical End of the navigation path

Activities

Enter the search criteria. You can restrict the search according to:

  • Report category

  • Report language

  • Validity area

  • Validity date

Depending on the starting path, you can also search for:

  • Different report statuses

The status of the report directly after it has been generated depends on the generation variant indicators.

  • A specific generation variant and a specific generation period

    Note Note

In the report information system, searching according to report status is not possible. This means, in the report information system, only released reports are displayed that are organized according to report category or generation variant. In the report information system, you can also search for reports without a specification reference (see Label).

    End of the note.

You can specify objects in the following report applications as search criteria if required:

  • Specifications from specification management

  • Materials from the material master

  • Note Note

The SAP system always takes only the search criteria for the currently selected report application into account during the search (see Example: Using Application Objects).

    End of the note.

To switch between the areas:

  1. Choose the Configuration (Configuration) tab page.

  2. Select the required application.

    • To call the application for the current transaction, choose Activate (Activate).

    • To enter the application on the first tab page so it appears there when you call the transaction the next time, choose Save (Save).
